This is probably why we have so many poorly trained, incompetent abstractors in the industry. Sadly, these poor suckers won't know how much information is NOT included in their on-line course. Of course they all think abstracting is easy - if you can learn everything you need to know from a three-hour on-line tutorial, it must be really simple.
What will happen when they realize how much they don't know? What will happen when they realize how much liability they incur with every search?
Thank goodness after the first of the year, Ohio will be requiring abstractors to carry E&O insurance.
