The suggestion is outstanding and long overdue in this industry. Our standards for searches and any problems that may arise during a search should be able to be addressed in the standards for each state. They should more than likely be along the lines as to the standards an attorney would have to abide by, and that are generally accepted by the title insurance companies/examiners as to what may constitute a marketable title.
Hopefully, this will all take place in the near future and NALTEA can get this going, even at a state level to start. We would be more than happy to help with this endeavor in the state of Georgia.
