I see that Kevin has already responded to this, but I thought I would share a couple of passages from the Koran.
"And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them whow act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to him do we submit".
"Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve".
Jews, Christians and Muslims all come from the same root. They all use the Torah as their base. They are all based on the same monolithic god. The Koran, as do the gospels, differ with the Torah is certain respects. The Koran has some passages that show an intolarance for Jews and Christians. The gospels have passages that show intolarance for the Jews. Most of us, of all three faiths, recognize that the similarities in faith are stronger than the differences.
