Mr. Ahern,

I apologize for my brusque post earlier. Please allow me to elaborate upon my prior comments.

You as all liberal tree hugging bunny lovers are twisting what us conservatives say to fix your own little agendas. I never said violate human rights. Now, human rights are something deserved of humans. Fundamentalist Islamic folks are not humans. They kill their own people and hide behind their religion by issuing their Fatahs that encourage the killing of all non muslims.

As far as Mr. Bin Laden is concerned, perhpahs you may have some sort of special insight on how to catch this coward that hides as a woman going from village to village. I'm dying to hear your solution. Your comment on the Taliban re-emerging is humrous to me, since when to dead people come back to life? As far as your throwing around the 2,500 deaths in Iraq, it's getting old. We all know we lost special people there. But thank god it's nothing like Vietnam or WWII. My Nephew is there as we speak this minute.

Vietnam btw for you history buffs was the pet of Pres. Truman (D) Eisenhower unfortunately inherited that mess.. First casualty I believe in VN was in 1954 or something like that.

Back to the point. You like all Liberals have ample supply of fault and blame and criticism (questioning authority) whatever you'd like to call it. But what you lack, is the answer, or the drive to do something about it. Instead you sit idly by and bitch about it adding your infinite wisdom about the state of things and truely I think you may be a tad bit inlove with your own voice.

You love blowing up all the negative and mention not one thing about the positive. Lemme show you an example. You gripe about no government in Iraq. I say, No more rape rooms! That's a good thing. You say the people hate us, I say 5 years ago they would have been hung for speaking out. If you see no improvment, then i suggest you set foot dry my friend and ask them yourself. I for one can't stand that county, any more than I could stand it back in '93 when I was out there. It's a miserable place for US soldiers to be in, but we go without question because we are the biggest kid on the block.

Which brings me to why we seem to always be in the shit with some country. It's the big kid/ big brother thing. Since our rival the USSR took a seat, there is only one super power left in this world and that's us. Now how much honor and character do we have to allow any country to pick on anyone else, much less the world and we do nothing about it? I think you have been watching too much Discovery Channel also. Drone planes? If you take the People out of War, you're going to have more wars.

Simply put, you need a sacrifice and death and misery to remind you about your goal and what you're fighting for. Men need pause and time to consider their actions and consequences.

Finally, as far as your comment that we don't have to sink to their level... I 125% agree with you.... We should sink lower. I tell you if I had a shot at it, I would kill every single family member of any insurgent caught in combat. That is deterence. That is what they will understand. If I catch a 15 year old with an AK or a detonation device, I drag him back to his mud hut and I shoot everyone in it and make it big and public. Then, and maybe then will they get the picture, if you rattle the cage, you're gonna get bitten.

Anytime you wanna come out and sit on the back on my tailgate and pound beer and talk shop, you're welcome to come to Cleveland. =)
