You mean the same CBS News that makes things up and forges documents when the story doesn't fit their pre-arranged template? The same CBS News that won't report on the progress that has been made in Iraq? Trust me, progress IS being made in Iraq. I know because a couple who are friends of mine from church has THREE, count 'em, THREE sons who have done multiple tours in Iraq, and if anyone should know, it's these brave young men who have witnessed first-hand the results of a well-orchestrated war.
As a matter of fact, I DO believe that it falls to the United States to fight this madman...Lord knows nobody else seems willing to take him on. Who are we going to count on, the French? Don't make me laugh. Neville Chamberlain couldn't see how expanding the war would improve the situation, either. He tried negotiating with with a thug, saying that there would be "peace in our time", and as Paul Harvey would say, "...now we know the rest of the story."
How come none of you vaunted "Woodstock survivors" was questioning authority when we invaded Haiti? Where were you and the other anti-war protestors when the U.S. went into Bosnia? What was our exit strategy from Somalia? Where were you when our soldiers' dead bodies were being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu? As far as I know, we're still there, but that's OK, because the guy who sent us there had a (D) beside his name. It's funny how the hit-and-run media didn't give a flying crap about the cost of those "not-so-well orchestrated" wars. Yet, strangely, they choose to minimize the impact of tax cuts in reducing the projected deficit. But I digress.
As far as foreign oil is concerned, that's nothing but a giant red herring. The reason we haven't tapped the oil reserve in ANWR is because of greenie-weenies who use environmentalism as a smokescreen to advance their own political agendas. Oh, and by the way, Iran can't use its oil as a weapon against the U.S. Canada and Mexico provide us with the lion's share of our oil. The federal government has has maintained its energy sanctions against Iran which prohibits U. S. companies from doing business with them (although the Bush Administration lifted those sanctions against Libya in April 2004 when they agreed to drop their WMD programs and renounce terrorism...another result of a well-orchestrated war).
Do NOT start with me, Kevin...you WILL NOT win!
Regards,
Scott Perry
a well-orchestrated evil Conservative
