Why should we give a rat's ass what the Islamic world thinks of us? Do you really think they care  about our opinions at all?  And why should we have to depend upon the U.N for support? We should rely on ourselves, that's half the reason we're in this mess to begin with.

And you bring up an excellent point. This is NOT 1944. In 1944 we didn't have the option of waging a near total war from the air or hundreds of miles off the coast. We didn't have remote control spy planes or night vision or satellites, but we still managed to win.

And why haven't we caught Bin Laden or set up a new govt. in Iraq? Simple, too many damn Liberals and the press forget that we are in a war. War's are not bloodless. War's are not painless. Yes, people die, civilians die, building's are destroyed. There's a lot of sorrow. But again, that's war. The press is so very quick to tell you how many people died in a bomb or a raid, whatever. Bit when was the last time you heard the New York Crimes, err Times or the majority of major news sources reporting any success in Iraq?

The problem is, our military is fighting with one hand behind it's back and blindfolded half the time. If we wanted to, we could have had these insurgent's in submission a long time ago.

Another closing thought. Mr. Clinton sent troops into Bosnia over 10 years ago, and we still have some there. Where is the public outcry over that??
