that is not what she said. The issue that is being discussed is whether or not to fire someone over one mistake and the assumption that attorneys are held to a higher standard than abstractors.
Of course they are going to file a claim whether it was an attorney, title company or abstractor.
You mentioned it yourself that an attorney would not be disbarred over once instance of negligence and neither would an abstractor lose his/her business over one mistake, unless it was an unforgivable mistake which I am not going start a list of those. Therefore each has something to lose, value of disbarment and losing a business is in the eye of the beholder, for repeated mistakes.
Again, it is your business that you are running, not anyone else's, you are free to run it as you see fit.
