Monica - I don't know about the others but I don't draw maps for clients. Most of my work is for surveyors who are trying to survey land - there may be discrepancies in the chain of title and we are trying to clear them up. The only thing I use it for is to make sure I have the right deed especially when I need to know if that one acre of today was part of that 200 acre tract 60 years ago. These mapping tools just let you enter the direction along with the other pertinent information to give you a shape - it is actually the program that helps you - you are able to place many of these using old legal descriptions that use roadways for boundary lines, etc. I have had to use this mapping tool in the reverse order too - where several city blocks and abandoned streets are now a tract of land today and you have to be able to piece every section together to make sure you have the whole tract today.
