Can you explain to me how you use the mapping software in connection with doing a search? I don't understand how it can replace the need for scales. Our examiners all have scales that they take to the courthouse with them. When they are doing a search, they use the scales to identify the property on the county maps. We aren't drawing the legal descriptions, we need to be able to find them on a map, on which they are already drawn.
I'm not sure what good it would do to create a new drawing of only the legal description you are reading. We need to be able to identify it, and possibly several "save and excepts", so we know if the legal description takes in the entire parcel we are searching.
Thanks,
Robert A. Franco
