Could be. I've researched Intelius and as I recall they were started by a bunch of ex-Microsoft employees. It really outrages me to see that Intelius is selling identity theft protection. For a price they will sell you protection from their services. It reminds me of the schoolyard bully taking tlunch money from smaller kids so he wouldn't beat them up.
