this is similiar to SC law in that the owner has one year from the date of the sale to redeem their property. But in SC, a tax deed is not a clear title, so unless you are willing for your investment to be held until all liens expire, then it isn't a very good investment. It would be a GREAT investment if you searched the title prior to bidding. Does your county post the addresses or tax map numbers before the date of the sale?
