A friend of mine in the title business said that he knew an abstractor that actually put a lien on someone's house because the title company refused to pay for services rendered (title work done for the borrower/title companies benefit), sounds almost what a contractor does when someone doesn't pay them for work done on a home.
I am going to contact a MD attorney tomorrow. Wish me luck
