I am not sure what the repercussions would be or if they could sue me for slander if I state their name.

My husband, who is a very level headed man and speaks very softly, called them and tried to reason with her today. The title company is in Owings Mills, MD. The owner told him to sue her. She was going to keep the money for the title work because she did not like that I did not do everything in my power to get the deed on. I called the state's attorney, who in turn, told me to call my local police station and the district court, to sue her in a civil suit.  The principle is why I would consider doing this but the time that it takes may be too consuming.

The thing that makes this worse is that, I did title work for her up to the day that she stopped payment on that check and now I may never be paid for that work either.
