Hey Rebecca,
     I think you are missing the point.  It was not meant as a bashing, but more of a wake-up call as to what we, as abstractors, are doing to ourselves and how we are making ourselves look.  We as abstractors complain, and at times rightfully so, about how we are treated as far as the ladder of importance in our industry, lack of pay, lack of respect, etc...  But sometimes we do it to ourselves.  Something as simple research, which is what we do, or following simple directions seem foreign to us.  Hopefully it gave a few people a helping hand into finding information on dead-beat clients as well...and isn't that one way of helping each other?
     If there was something was caught in between your teeth after dinner wouldn't you want a friend to point it out for you to take care of before your client sees it?
