You gave an excellent response to an unreasonable demand. Unfortunately, the title companies do not seem to be getting the message in general, and continue with the relentless pressure to have the abstractors reduce their prices. Another approach to take up the slack is to provide services in other areas of the real estate industry. If you are providing only one service...abstracting, you are already dead. You just don't know it yet.
