Re: Hot and Cold Lists - Robert Franco/OH

I have no idea.  The lists is not something that Source of Title has ever been involved with.  They were both started by individuals and they shared with each other.  Like everything else, some people decided they didn't want to share with others.  They realized that they were losing business because they had clients on the Hot List that were getting solicited by newer abstractors with lower prices.  I guess that is understandable.

The Cold List (which has gone by other not-so-politically correct names) was never something that I thought was a good idea.  Names that were appearing on the list were some people's favorite clients, other names that were on the Hot List were ones that some wanted to put on the Cold List.  There is also the matter of liability for distributing a list like that.

To give you the short answer... I have no idea if anyone is maintaining the lists anymore.

Best,
Robert A. Franco
