I have recently raised my fee for "Doc Ret" by $10 in most cases; some a little less;  for those who send me regular work or bulk orders.  It is no longer feasible for me to do these orders at  a low price  I used to offer this service at a reduced price as a courtesy service as long as I rec'd other work (which I still will do for loyal clients).    However, it seems more often than not, I am asked to retrieve a document in a rural county or old documents from sometimes customers.  I do minimal searching for doc ret - assignments, owner verification, etc.  With any search order, if it is more work than requested, I call and get clarification & we agree on the appropriate fee.  

  Second hand info here, but it is my understanding that abstractors in Bibb county, GA, are commanding  $200 for full searches, because they all stuck together.  If anyone there could verify.....a nice change from the counties I cover where it seems people will undercut you left and right (mostly newbies).
