I once had a client send $100,000.00 worth of work in 6 weeks. I scrambled, borrowed, begged help from every person I know to get the work done (for a National Underwriter); I got 20% up front for expenses and 6 months later had not been paid.  This was 600 or so searches.  I told their attorney I had $$6,000.00 left of the deposit they gave me and would use it to file a lien on each property.  He strongly advised against it - but sent me a check the next week.
