I write in response to your statement about searchers not belonging to the state abstractors' association.  That is possibly because most searchers are unaware that such an organization exists.

I have been performing title searches in my area (southwestern Pennsylvania) for over 10 years, and your post is the first time I have ever even heard of a state abstractors'
association in Pennsylvania.  That is why in March 2004, I first proposed the idea of a national association for title searchers and examiners.

I assure you, had I known of such an association, I would have looked into joining a long time ago.  I would be interested in learning more about it, so if you would be so kind to email me at bossman@jbizinfo.com, I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide.
