However, threats of slander lawsuits always make me chuckle and Jan's post made it a belly laugh. 

First, it's always SLANDER--we are never threatened with the correct term of "libel".  Second, They CAN file a LIBEL suit and cause all amounts of frustration, but unless the court precedent has changed, truth is the absolute defense to libel.  Just make sure everything you say is true and, while not immune from litigation, most everything will come out right in the end.
