I think you are on to something here George. Years ago I used both a factoring company and a collection agency for my manufacturing company. The collection agency was set up specifically for the industry and kept good tabs on the non-payers. Access to their database saved us from shipping to accounts that would not pay.

The factoring company helped us with the slow pays. We didn't have to wait sixty to ninety days. We received a check within days of the shipment. Some VM's who claim they can't pay their abstractors until they are paid might want to look at factoring their accounts too.
