One thing I have done in the past that seems to upset deadbeats. I make a notice that says "Notice to Searchers" " ABC corp. is no longer paying for searches". I make it look suitable for framing and fax it to the dead beat and tell them that in a couple days I'll have it hung on the wall of every search vault in the state. I had a title agency as a client, owned by a law firm, that was closing and trying to stiff me for about $800. When I did this to this particular company, with prominent mention of the law firm they also owned, that was not closing, they freaked out, threatened to sue me and then sent me a check. I later found that I was the only searcher that got paid.

I'll do anything to get paid, except hire a lawyer, they take most of the money.
