Yes, your friend is not the only one. Since the Land AM buyout I have not received any work from them whatsover, and that has been over 2 months.  Fortunately they were not that big of a client, but any business is certainly missed.  I have no idea what they are planning, but I do know Land AM  use independent abstractors because I know a person in my area who does their work.  It has been my assumption as of late that this is where all the work is going--to the vendors that Land AM already has. Again, I have no proof of this, but it is what I am assuming.  Best of luck to your friend and keep me posted with any updates on this.
