It's my opinion that some elected officials will only take responsibility for what they have done when they are required to in a court of law. That's why I have started putting a link to attorneys that are holding these people accountable at the bottom of many of my articles. I believe the American people are finally realizing that we are not helpless in this matter. In a free society, the primary function of government, any government is to protect their citizens not to exploit them.
