Sara, Wendi, and everyone else who attended NALTEA Title Camp..
Thanks for your kind words, but the great thing about the title camp model is that it evolves from the great ideas of each participant, so you, individually, 'made it happen'!
Sara, that was a perfect re-cap of the day, thanks so much and I won't even try to improve on it.
I have to say that meeting Lynn was one of the highlights of the weekend. She's a brilliant lady and perfect ambassador for NALTEA.
Our group was varied, from sole proprietors to state-wide company owners to single investors, yet everyone benefited from discussion and best of all, everyone contributed (even the ones who said "I'll come, but I'm not talking!" You know who you are :o).
NALTEA will reap quite a reward from their investment in the weekend. There were lots of comments afterward from folks who now fully understand the benefit of unity in our industry and are anxious to join and assist in NALTEA's effort and direction.
I'm already planning a second NALTEA Title Camp specifically for NC residents and know others are in the works. These meetings are a great source of empowerment to the abstractor and an equally powerful resource for input to NALTEA.
Any abstractor who is interested in hosting a NALTEA Title Camp is welcome to get in touch for details. This is a simple but innovative conference model that can be duplicated anywhere in the country.
Lastly, it's true,Wendi, you may have a lot to share (grin) but your experience and suggestions are priceless, and I think you explained it best in this sentence, "People who are NOT opinionated and strong-willed don't own their own businesses -- they work for others!" Amen, girlfriend!
