Yes, I didn't think a penalty would be easy to collect and would likely cause tension that would damage the relationship. Wanted to ask what other abstractor's policies are regarding late payment of 30-60-90 days, depending on which company you are speaking about.

I like your and Angelica's idea of suspending service. In the past, I worried that would flat out kill a relationship but I, like others, have done work that never got paid for and it is a big hit financially.
