If anything, it demonstrates the dire need for RESPA reform, tighter supervision and enforcement by regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission, HUD  or the state Banking Commission in Connecticut's case and resort to the legal system for redress of grievances...especially by those least able to fight back.
