Thank you for all the ideas. I thought about sending the docs to the ROD and let them fill out the rejection form, but they usually don't mail them back to the company - they hand them back to our searchers and give them a hard time about them. Plus, I don't want to screw over my customers and make their recordings late. I think they changed the law so we have 30 days after signing for a bankruptcy court to recognize the mortgage, but these docs are already at 12 or so days post-closing. I ended up sending them back with the recording statute highlighted in key areas and the instructions for the transfer form highlighted, plus I included a few blank original transfer forms. I'm probably being too nice.
I don't know how ServiceLink is in other states, but I loved doing their recordings. They were spot on every single time.
