I would guess that they are using an "e-fax" service that allows you to send an email through a special account that converts the email to a fax and is then faxed from a data center.  We use a similar service - been a terrific service for us.

I had heard that parts of NY were buried under several feet of snow.  I think the Governor asked the President to declare some sort of emergency in parts of the state.  Just a blurb on the radio - wasn't really big news here in Ohio.
