I don't care where you are in the country...If a person dies and a LP or case is filed, it is filed against him and/or his estate as Doe, John Estate.  The PR should be indexed as well under Doe, Jane as PR (Executrix as per custom).  If the PR is an heir, she should also be indexed individually.  Not one or the other, but both!  Each heir should also be named and indexed as individuals.  Any thing else is incorrect and should be refiled or amended.  That's why abstractors search the title...to clear up these errors and discrepancies!
