Angelica,

I am glad to hear that you have had no problems.  I encourage you and the others posting on here to say this.  If mine was an isolated instance nothing would make me happier.  I have done work for them since 2003 and have had more than a few past due invoices.  I have always been able to resolve these in a manner that I was still willing to do work for them.  There is not a company out there that at some point doesnt misplace an invoice or two.  Others on here have told me that they have an iron-clad policy that if a company ever pays over 15 days late, they stop working for them.  I am far more lenient.  I usually let things slide as long as I eventually get paid.  There are a few cases that I let clients go because it became a nightmare to try to collect.  DRI was not at that point.  Not even close to some of the really bad companies out there. However, I had to draw a line when I was told that a check was sent out when it wasnt.  If they would have told me the truth that it had not been sent out yet, I would have said ok and simply asked if I could come pick it up.  I am only a few miles from their offices and would gladly have done so.  Not to make this too personal, but some of my Christmas shopping is reliant on that check.  If I hadnt caused the commotion that I did in order to finally get it in the mail, how would I explain to my daughter that she wasnt getting a gift because of it?  I have to count on timely payments in order to meet my expenses. " DRI promised they were sending a check" is not an excuse the electric company wants to hear when my bill is due.  It doesnt put gas in my car to drive to the counties to do their and my other clients work. DRI is not the only company that owed/owes me for past due invoices.  The cumulative effect of this is that things are very tight and stressful at this time.  So when a company is not truthful to me about a payment issue, it is a big deal to me.  I dont know if there are others out there in similar situations, or if you are all independently wealthy (haha), but I thought it important to pass along my situation to give you people the information.  After all, isnt that what this message board is for?  Thanks for your input, and agian, I am glad you have had no problems.
