After five-and-a-half years working for myself, I have to admit that we haven't had as many clients with payment issues as the rest of you seem to. We do get them from time to time, although I can't say I've seen any increase in that in the past year. I tend to think that's because I've tried to be selective about whom we take on as clients.
We try to resist raising prices, but sometimes there's just no other way. Like you, I have a passion for the work I do, and feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to earn a living doing what I love. Sometimes, I think I'd do this for free if I could afford to. It's just unfortunate that there are companies who take advantage of that.
