You know, if everyone would stop working for them collectively and check around with other abstractors before blindly taking work, we could put them out of business. I know for a fact that SLK depends on its ground abstractors. So why not freeze them out with their history of nonpayment? We have gone almost exclusively to working for attorneys or attorney groups. I NEVER worry about payment and if I do have issues, we just never work for them again. Too much business to waste time with it but of course we have about 3 people. I just say band together and show those companies who's essential and vital Don't reward bad behavior. They have terrible policies and practices of sending tons of work and then not paying. Just don't work for them!! :)
