Thanks for your list. I think that if more of us lived by that, myself included, it would be easier to forgive people for the little grievances and move forward. We too often get caught up in all of the mundane affairs to remember that life's first lesson is to love and be loved. To treat our friends and family members the way we want to be treated and, in so doing, make more friends and increase the size of one's own family.
Growing up, my grandmother would often say that life is less about the number of years you lived, but the number of years you've alive when you're living. She's 86 and every Holiday season, she makes cookies and treats for "the old people at area rest homes." It brings so much happiness to those people, most of whom are younger than she.
