Over many years, I discovered that the safest way to save my sanity, avoid costly printer repairs and cleaning bills (clothes and carpet), is to stick with HP toner cartridges (buying whenever there is a sale, discount, "gift," or other offer from HP, internet or local office supply stores).
I will skimp on expensive meals, buy clothes and shoes only on sale, eliminate one cofee-shop coffee a week, park a block away to save a quarter, but never on skimp toner. It is one of life's necessities. The repair and dry cleaning bills after the second refill attack did me in. Notice that the refills only attack when you are in the middle of a VIP, last minute, must-get-it-to-FedEx NOW job.
