  I feel compelled to jump in here about prices. I have been in this business about 20 years. SOT is the first organization that I have found to be very helpful when it comes to advise and new ideas. I've noticed lately that people seem to be unwilling to give their fellow abstractors help. I hope that that isn't where this group is going.
  First of all, most of us are not in competition with one another as we have different jurisdictions. If it is the same area, then I can kind of understand. If they are reluctant to post their advise on this forum for their competition to read, they can always email privately. 
  I personally like to help anyone that has been in the business and is qualified to research land records. What goes around, comes around as they say. I spent many lonely years alone trying to figure it all out before any of these forums were available. I know what it is like. Guess I'm just a soft touch.
