I agree with your analysis of the Ohio statue, which is very similar to our New York lien law. The real question isn't whether or not it is the right thing to file a lien; it is whether the existence of the Arkansas statue creates a culture where Arkansas abstractors are paid so that liens aren't filed. Is the threat of the ability to file a legal lien enough to assure you get paid, 99 % of the time. I'd like to hear from Arkansas abstractors.
