I never said it's a perfect solution, george. It's merely one of many tools at our disposal that help us to provide better service to our customers.
Our long-standing policy has been that if the search turns up a "no-record" in the requested county, and we find the property in a neighboring county that is part of our geographic service area, we will complete the search in the correct county at no additional charge to the client.
(BTW, Bellvue, MI (ZIP code 49021) addresses can be located in Eaton county (63%), Barry county (27%) or Calhoun county (8%), in case anyone is curious.)
