Here in Henry co., GA (#8 fastest growing county in US), while the county has erected many new buildings and cleared areas for parking, they did turn an old Winn Dixie grocery store/strip center into county offices.  I was glad to see that.  David, I am intrigued by your home!  It sounds like one of those I have seen on one of those home shows where people like yourself turned an old commercial building into a fascinating and comfortable home!
