I was intrigued by Randall County's use of existing an existing commercial building because this is how I built my home. In my case, it was this little town's original mercantile although by the time I got it the previous owner had used it as a manufacturing facility. After three years, I ended up with a five thousand square foot paid-for home that I probably could never have afforded any other way.
The old Randall County Courthouse has been empty for years and they have been making do with "temporary" buildings. For its historical value I hope they are able to some day restore the old one as a museum but I really enjoy working out of their new "Walmart" Courthouse.
