We have given the names of people advertising their "signing agent" business on various notary websites and have not had much help from the Maryland Insurance Administration. I even have an email of a notary telling a friend of mine that is licensed that she is doing closings and does not have her title producers license. The email was forwarded to the M.I.A but my friend has not received a response about it yet.

The last time I turned someone in, someone at the MIA had an attitude problem with me and I told them that they should not have the law if the MIA won't enforce the law. She had nothing to say about it.

Maryland is ridiculous but I live and work here so I have to deal with it.
