Don't forget the participation in a conference call with the General Accounting Office on their exploration of social security numbers in public records.  The report was compiled at the request of Charles Schumer (probably not spelled correctly).  Find it at www.gao.gov.  NALTEA was one of a number of real estate organizations interviewed for this research.  The conference call was attended by both Mary Mitchell and myself, took time out of our busy work schedule, cost us both long distance charges, and we both were very happy to be able to participate. 

Also, each committee meets monthly and those volunteers put their time and money into the work they do.  Progress is being made.  I know in my state of South Carolina, NALTEA is all the buzz, and I expect an increase in SC abstractors on the membership roster this fall.
