Steve, funny you mention MD title companies.  I have a notary closing I am doing today for such a company.  Line 1101 has $400 payable to the title co and line 1102 for $790, the payable to is blank, then the mobile notary line is blank to, amount and payable to...which concerns me only for the simple fact that the notary fee effects the TIL.

So how do you know if there could even possibly be a violation if they don't disclose who is even getting paid?
