You nailed it Jay. I normally when encountered with a call or email make the following reply. I am so glad you contacted me. I was just about to call you. As you  know orders are slim and we are soon having to make a price increase. Bottom line. All or most of these companies are middle men. They want to pay us a small fee, they now want to reduce, to take our report and send it to the actual institution ordering it. Here locally we had a local attorney start ordering updates. I begin to look at the files and they were 18 months to 3 year old files. Oh HELL NO. I am not going to do a search for $50.00 when I should be getting $150.00. Especially when they are still charging $350.00 for it. What is gonna happen is the national lenders are gonna realize we have the same, if not better insurance then the middle men, and they can deal directly with us. I have staff that can type up the report, as 90% of ours are already typed. I know many of you have heard me say it before, and I'm saying it again. WE MUST STICK TOGETHER ON THIS. As Abraham Lincoln said, "A Lawyers time and advice are his ply in Trade".. These companies do not pay us for what we do, they need you all for WHAT YOU KNOW. And again, as i stated on another post, this storm to will pass. Just Today in the Wall St. Journal, the House is scrambling to get a bill to the senate to save these homewoners in ARMS facing foreclosure, by allocating money and reducing qualifaction requirements so they may re-fi. In the meantime. Stick to your gun's, and allow not one inch of ground to be taken.
