I don't know if this is true, but here goes.  I was approached by an abstractor here in South Carolina several months ago asking me about notaries closing loans of all places at a person's home.  This was requested by LSI.  I told him, first of all, it is illegal in South Carolina to close a loan without an attorney present representing the borrower, not the lending institution.  Secondly, I told him that if he answered one question, at the closing, he would be practicing law without a license, and could go to jail.  Of course, if LSI offers this abstactor enought money, he will do it.  He is a thief, and has not ethics whatsoever.  I mentioned this to an attorney here in South Carolina, and he knew all about LSI doing this.  But, of course, not attorney has contacted our attorney general.  I would never work for LSI.  Have heard too many horror stories about them.
