That is a good point.  I guess I was just so outraged I didn't stop to think about it.  I just wanted to be sure that they would remove me from their database because I don't ever want to hear from them again.

I suppose, perhaps, the risk would be from other clients that First American might buy that will stick me with a balance. The rest of their "family of companies" can pay me more... or not, I really don't care.

But, thank you for pointing out my faulty logic.
