Why would it be necessary to file in Alabama?  Is this an issue of it being a "small claims court" action?  I would think that if the defendant were properly served and the plaintiff obtained a valid judgment in Tennessee, that judgment could easily be filed in Alabama. 

Jurisdiction doesn't seem to present a problem.  If the Alabama company is servicing clients in Tennessee and ordering title work from a resident of Tennessee, there should be sufficient minimum contacts for a court in Tennessee to obtain jurisdiction.  No?
