One of my title clients uses Qualia. For all the press it is getting, it is VERY user UNFRIENDLY.
I did 16 hr Certification Class and am now a Certified Qualia Expert. - that and $5 will buy you a Starbucks LOL
That being said, I had to learn the entire platform. In reality, the "market place" simply generates income for Qualia.
A search could be send manually (reg email) and downloaded into the Qualia system vs being ordered THROUGH Qualia and delivered into the file via their platform.
That is what I would suggest to your attorney client
OR give him the option to purchase the correct module so he can use their delivery system for your files
OR give you limited authorization into the system so you can deliver your documents via direct download.
Or let him know you'd be HAPPY to use the system, and here is the new price of searches b/c you have to pay for the platform in order to access it.
BTW, the system is NOT 100% and does not always correctly identify the property. So, I've had MANY problems in the past when the system logged the WRONG address, we ordered the search and oh, WRONG property. (esp new construction and rural properties)
Make sure you address that with them. If the wrong property is sent by the system and you search it out - that they will have to pay for the incorrectly ordered property.
I work on several title production systems and this is NOT an out of the box solution.
Apparently so "difficult" that my NYC client's tech people didn't even have it set up correctly when I started working on it and I had to take the course in order to finish setting up THEIR system as a title examiner ! Good thing I'm a title geek techie!
Best of luck
