I made it a point last year to get myself a little educated on this subject by reading up on it, using lots of dictionaries to clear up words I didn't understand, etc..
Then I called my brother in California to answer questions I still had, as he is well versed on the stock market, investments, etc.. and he answered all my questions.
I am always interested in learning more about our industry and do so as much as I can because I feel that it is important. And I believe that is true for many of the guys out there.
I also agree with you that there are plenty of guys who just don't give a shit.
I take my profession very seriously, I am a single woman and my company is my sole source of income, so I know the more educated I can get in my profession the more successful I will be.
However I am not an attorney or going to college to become one as you are, that doesn't make me less interested in what is going on with the "mortgage mess" or understanding it.
I respect you for all that you are doing, however I think that your posting could have come across to some as insulting, not to me personally, but to others like me who also take their work seriously. Thats just my opinion.
