I guess this guy calmed down and realized that it is not unreasonable to stamp a delinquent bill "past due."  We did get our payment of $84.  It is unfortunate that it caused him so much grief.  We will have to see if he takes his business elsewhere in the future.  Either way, clients need to understand that we (abstractors) need to be paid on time, like the rest of their creditors.
